About

Software work changed. Evaluation should too.

Truen exists to help hiring teams understand engineers through evidence of what they’ve actually built.

Why we built Truen

Resumes and keyword screens miss a lot of what matters. They flatten engineers into titles, tools, and claims that are easy to polish and hard to verify.

GitHub and other work evidence show more: how someone writes code, decomposes problems, and owns systems over time. That record is usually messy and time-consuming to read.

Truen makes that evidence easier to understand—private by default, claim by claim, without collapsing a person into a black-box score.

Principles

Real work beats proxies

Resumes and keyword screens are easy to inflate. The harder signal is the work itself.

Context matters

A commit or pull request is not a score. Truen keeps claims tied to evidence, and is willing to say insufficient evidence.

Evaluation should evolve with how software gets built

Hiring still often screens for artifacts of the last era. Evaluation has to read the work as it is built now.

Build with evidence.
